deadmau5 Blasts President Trump’s Immigration Ban: ‘Guess You Better Send Melania Back Too’ | #iRockParties

Many musicians and celebrities have spoken out against President Donald Trump’s executive order to ban citizens of seven predominantly Muslim countries from entering the United States for at least the next few months. Deadmau5, one of the latest to sound off, has chimed in with a series of tweets criticizing the decision — and calling out Trump’s wife, Melania, who immigrated to the United States.

Under Trump’s order, people from Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria and Yemen will not be able to enter the U.S.

“Great. Trump banning immigrants. Guess you better send Melania back too,” the DJ wrote on Twitter.

Melania, who was born in Slovenia, first obtained a work visa for modeling jobs in the U.S. in 1996 and officially became an American citizen in 2006, according to her official biography on the White House’s website. (“I follow a law the way it’s supposed to be,” she explained in an interview with MSNBC last year. “I never thought to stay here without papers. I had visa. I travel every few months back to the country, to Slovenia, to stamp the visa. I came back. I applied for the green card. I applied for the citizenship later on after many years of green card. So I went by system.”)

“AH thats right… coz war refugees have no right to be there. but mail order bitches do. that’s cool,” deadmau5 said in another tweet.

In response to someone who pointed out Melania immigrated legally, he shot back: “so are they. with visas and greencards. are you watching the news?”

“STFU. CELEBRITIES AND ENTERTAINERS SHOULD F—IN STAY OUTTA POLITICS! (cept our president),” he then tweeted, presumably with sarcasm.

“anyways… im just bummed out is all,” he said. “#canadasecond ?”
