Pusha T Confirms Drake to adidas Rumors | #iRockParties

Pusha T‘s explosive appearance on The Breakfast Club broke down his scathing Drake diss track, “The Story of Adidon,” the shocking blackface photograph of the 6 God and his claim that the OVO mastermind had fathered a secret son named Adonis, to name a few notable events. One key moment that got lost in the shuffle: The GOOD Music president essentially confirmed the rumors that Drake was moving to adidas.

Despite rumors swirling for months that the Canadian rapper was leaving Jordan Brand, neither party officially confirmed or denied the shift, leaving fans to grapple over coy teases. That may all be for naught, thanks to Pusha T’s “The Story of Adidon,” however, where he rapped, “Adonis is your son/And he deserves more than an Adidas press run, that’s real.”

On his The Breakfast Club call-in, he laid out his point more explicitly, revealing that Drake’s adidas range was to be called “Adidon” in reference to the child’s name.

Pusha then explained that the unveiling of the brand would apparently work double duty as a dual paternity announcement and brand tie-in. “Who rolls out their child with a sweatsuit? Get outta here,” he stated on the show. “We couldn’t know about your child until you started selling sweatsuits and sneakers?”

Journalist Touré broke it down succinctly in a single tweet:

Stay tuned as the beef continues to develop.

Most recently, Quentin Miller responded to the controversy, while Fear of God designer Jerry Lorenzo offered his take on Twitter.
