Drake, Kanye West, Frank Ocean and more have all set up pop-up shops in the last few years, proving that fans are still willing to stand in line and fork over large amounts of cash for exclusive merchandise. Daft Punk now join the club, with the duo announcing plans for their first pop-up store on Tuesday. The shop will be open at Los Angeles’ Maxfield from February 11th to the 19th.
The dancefloor-wrecking duo teamed up with various designers – including Off-White, Darkdron, Herve Manufacturer and Enfants Riches Deprives – to create “limited edition apparel and accessories” for the shop. There will also be items available made by Daft Punk Official Merchandise specifically for this store (“special edition,” rather than limited, if you’re keeping score at home), as well as a selection of material currently on sale at the duo’s online store.
In addition to the usual T-shirts and hoodies, Daft Punk also promise a history lesson: according to a statement, their shop will incorporate “a retrospective of archival set pieces, props, wardrobe, artwork, photography and robot helmets.”
The shop will be open at 8818 Melrose Ave in West Hollywood from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. from February 12th – 19th, and noon – 5 p.m. on Sundays (2/11 and 2/19).
